Chin Lake

Twenty kilometers south of Taber lies a 25 km long irrigation resevoir built back in 1920.  Trying to escape the perpeutal curse of southern Alberta wind, we decided to pull the boat out there one day in early July.  The water was very high, with the trunks of the trees submergered and the water coming up to the leaves.
Back in the 80's, Ed water-skiied under the bridge, but the water was so high this year that we didn't. Actually it was too windy to ski so we pulled the tube for awhile until Ed got too soaked from the spray and we pulled out and went home. We did have a nice picnic lunch with Ed's Mum and Dad and his sister and her family.
