Derek the Knitting Dinosaur

While at the library I came across a book entitled Derek, the Knitting Dinosaur by Mary Blackwood. Of course I had to read it.  It's about 3 brother dinosaurs, 2 of which are mean and ferocious while the other sits and knits

"a wardrobe of trousers and sweaters that fit and warm woollen boots and mittens and tracksuits and hundreds of pairs of woolly blue socks."

TRACKSUITS???

According to the theory that the dinosaurs died off because of the Ice Age, the brothers made their way (through the snow) to Derek's house where Derek wrapped them up in

"sweaters and blankets and warm woolly things... and they were glad when they'd thawed out a bit, that dear little Derek would rather just sit, and go knittety knittety knittety knit!"

Very. Cute.
